All Creatures Great & Small: See Samuel Wests Photos From Season 7 Set

All Creatures Great and Small Season 7 comes out in early 2027 on PBS, and the cast has been hard at work on set of the heartwarming production. Samuel West, who plays veterinarian Siegfried Farnon, has been posting photos from set on X since they started filming in February 2026. He tweets them all in one thread to document the entire filming process. He’s shared new ones as recently as June, when the season wrapped filming.

All Creatures Great and Small was renewed for Seasons 7 and 8 in November 2025, around the time of the Season 6 finale/Christmas special. Season 7 started filming in February 2025 across the Yorkshire Dales National Park in North Yorkshire, England, and will premiere first in the United Kingdom later this year before its United States debut in early 2027 on PBS.

West started his behind-the-scenes thread on February 23, 2026, when they were on set for the first day of filming. He always tries to make rhymes out of his X captions, but he joked in this first post that seven doesn’t rhyme with many other words.

“#ACGAS is back for Series Seven, With Brian and Erik: very heaven. (I can’t do this too many times – ‘Seven’ hasn’t many rhymes),” West wrote.

The same day, West shared a photo of the cast and crew in front of the exterior set of Skeldale House.

He said: “8am. 1st Assistant Director Sarah Pate runs through Health & Safety outside Skeldale Hous. So many old friends in this picture. #ACGAS has a very low turnover of crew.”

The next day, he shared a photo of photos showing Siegfried’s ties. The photos help keep continuity.

Back to #ACGAS, back to tie-knot continuity photographs,” he said. “Three story days on our first day. Indebted to Liv and her pedantry.”

West shared a photo of the continuity efforts in his Season 6 thread as well. Additionally, he shared a photo of him and his costars Anna Madeley, Rachel Shenton, Nicholas Ralph, and Callum Woodhouse out to dinner after the work day ended. West did so again with Season 7 in March 2026.

“A still from the lesser-known Enid Blyton adaptation FIVE GO FOR FAJITAS (TO SAY NOTHING OF THE DOG),” he tweeted. “Lenny is playing the dog. We had a fine time at Paradise Tap & Taco in Harrogate. Great food, great beer, great staff, great tunes. Go.”

Other photos in the thread showcase the lenses used for filming, their animal handler, and more cast photos, both in and out of character.

A pretty shot on location shows Ralph appreciating the landscape on which they film in April.

“Nick enjoying today’s location near Burnside,” West posted. “Feel very blessed to be working in the Dales on days like these.”

Later in the thread, on April 13, West wished Ralph a happy birthday with a photo of him in character.

“Happy birthday to the annoyingly lovely #NicholasRalph, who is not a perfect square, despite being 36 today,” he captioned the black-and-white photo.

West also treated viewers to a shot of his costume fitting for Season 7. He joked that he looked like a “wedding topper” in his medical uniform.

This post in June was his first update on the thread since April. There were more frequent updates after this.

“Anna in pensive mood,” he captioned a photo of Madeley, who plays the beloved Mrs. Hall.

“Callum, comfy,” he wrote about Woodhouse in costume as Tristan Farnon, Siegfried’s little brother.

“Tell me you’ve got a one year-old without telling me you’ve got a one-year-old #1: Rach,” he captioned a photo of a tired Shenton, who was pregnant during the filming of Season 6.

He also shared an adorable picture of Woodhouse in the makeup trailer with his dog.

“Cal’s dog Lenny asking for some of my omelette. He didn’t get any,” West said.

The June 5 thread was capped off with a sweet photo of West holding a rat.

West posted a video of hisAll Creatures-themed birthday cake on June 20. On June 25, he commemorated the wrap of filming on the Season 7 Christmas special.

“We wrapped today on the Christmas episode, on the hottest June day in this country’s history and as far away from December 25 as it is possible to be,” he wrote. “Here’s Chanel with the final slate, and the Herriot/Alderson family with all of them.”

The end of filming marked the end of the thread. Now, the show goes into the editing process, and fans continue to wait for the show’s return.
