The Real Housewives of Rhode Island was a runaway hit for Bravo since its first season premiered in April. Right out of the gate, the drama, romantic storylines, and more have proven to be top-tier reality television, and the best part was that many didn’t expect it.
In May, Bravo made major announcements about the future of its programming slate at the NBC Upfronts, and it was confirmed thatRHORI will be back for a second season, set to film during summer 2026. Less than two months later, one OG cast member shared that she would not be returning, though.

IsRHORI returning for Season 2?
Yes! Bravo announced at the NBC Upfronts that The Real Housewives of Rhode Island has been picked up for a second season.
“I think one of the reasons Rhode Island is so incredible is that the women’s self-awareness about being on the show is incredibly low,” Cohen previously told Deadline. “They are uniquely themselves and taking us along for the ride. That’s so important. There have been a lot of times where a housewife will join and all of a sudden you’re like, ‘Oh, man, she’s kind of studied this’. That’s what we try to avoid.”
When doesRHORI Season 2 premiere?
A premiere date for Season 2 has not been confirmed yet. Season 1 filmed during summer 2025, so it’s likely that cameras will pick back up in just a couple of weeks and that the new episodes won’t drop until 2027.
For reference, Season 1 premiered on April 2, 2026, so we likely won’t see the new installment until next spring.
Who is in theRHORI Season 2 cast?
Bravo has not confirmed the cast members for Season 2 ofRHORI yet. However, Liz McGraw revealed on July 1 that she will not be one of the returning members.
“I’m filled with gratitude for the amazing opportunity to appear on this show,” she wrote in an Instagram post. “As filming for Season 2 begins, I have made the decision to take a step back and focus on my family, my work, and my passions. TheRHORI cast is an amazing group of women who have created something special. I’ll be watching next season, rooting for the continued success of the franchise. For now, I look forward to enjoying this little corner of the world from the other side of the camera.
In addition to Liz, the first season starred Alicia Carmody, Rosie DiMare, Kelsey Swanson, Rulla Nehme Pontarelli, Ashley Iaconetti, and Jo-Ellen Tiberi, withThe Real Housewives of New Jersey star Dolores Catania in a “friend of” role.
Tiberi and Swanson both previously told TV Insider that they’d be interested in returning for a Season 2, while DiMare said, “I don’t know. We’ll have to see how the first season goes. It was a lot. Filming was a lot. Reliving it in confessionals at the time was a lot. But it was also a lot of fun.”
Before Season 1 aired, DiMare was “leaning towards yes,” but admitted, “I already know how certain people feel about me. I don’t necessarily need to hear that. So I don’t know if I can even watch the show.”
