Pearly Drops Falling Out of Grace Is Addictive PopMatters

Helsinki hyperpop duo Pearly Drops have created some of the catchiest Nordic electropop of the past few years. It’s warm and inviting, as one imagines is needed on cold, dark Finnish days. Los Angeles vocalist and producer DJ_Dave teams up with Pearly Drops‘ producer duo Sandra Tervonen and Juuso Malin for their latest single, “Falling Out of Grace”.

Pearly Drops‘ music ranges from electro bangers and intricate synthesizer work to subtle dream pop. On this new track, the synths are bubbly, swirling, and upbeat, paired with an instantly memorable melody. It’s been floating around in my head for the past week. Unlike much hyperpop, there’s no sense of the music being somewhat out of control. Instead, they create beautifully composed ear nuggets with hyperpop’s energy.
