Puppet Combo is at it again with another throwback horror title in Bloodwash. The developer has announced that the title, which is being published through their Torture Star Video label, is tentatively planned to launch “This Summer” on Steam.
Described as being “Giallo-inspired” in its story, Bloodwash mashes up survival horror and adventure game elements with those loveable retro-inspired PS1 graphics.
The story concerns Sara, a pregnant college student living with her alcoholic boyfriend in a run-down apartment complex. One night, the washing machine in the apartment’s basement breaks down. A neighbor tells Sara about a 24-hour laundromat on the outskirts of town, so what’s Sara to do but head over there. Unfortunately, there’s a serial killer known as the Womb Ripper, who’s been targeting pregnant women in the city. You can guess where this is going.
