[TGA 2022] New Trailer Released For ‘Post Trauma’, Coming to PC And Consoles [Watch]

Well, Castlevania is (sort of) back. Konami and developer Motion Twin have announced a collaboration for Motion Twin’s roguelike Dead Cells with “Return to Castlevania” DLC. The new DLC will be available Q1 2023.

Per the DLC’s Steam page, Castlevania‘s unforgettable characters and gothic setting meet the fast-paced combat of the award-winning roguelite Dead Cells. A gateway to a striking castle has suddenly appeared, and an imposing warrior called Richter asks you to help him vanquish a great evil within. Enticed by the promise of new loot rather than a sense of moral duty, you strike out through the grounds and corridors of the gothic castle to find and kill this mysterious Dracula…

In addition to exploring Dracula’s castle and its secrets, plyaers will be able to unlock 14 iconic Castlevania weapons such as the Vampire Killer, Throwing Axe & Holy Water. Each Castlevania item has been translated into the fast-paced combat of Dead Cells while keeping their original essence.

And what’s Castlevania without the music? The new DLC gives you access to an alternative soundtrack made up of 51 (you read that right) of the original Castlevania tunes, that can be heard across the entire game. In addition, Motion Twin has taken the 12 most iconic tracks, such as Vampire Killer, Bloody Tears and Simon Belmont’s Theme, and reimagined them in the style of Dead Cells as the DLC’s soundtrack.

Dead Cells is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, PC via Steam.
