‘The Evil Dead’: 40th Anniversary Ash Statue from Dark Horse Direct Pays Tribute to Sam Raimi’s Original Movie

Chicho Ibáñez Serrador’s Spanish horror series “Stories to Stay Awake” (“Historias Para No Dormir”) is getting resurrected by ViacomCBS International Studios (VIS), Amazon Prime Video and RTVE. The new project is set to be a four-part anthology miniseries.

“Stories to Stay Awake” will feature episodes directed by the following filmmakers…

  • Oscar-nominated filmmaker Rodrigo Sorogoyen (Mother)
  • Spanish Academy Goya-winner Rodrigo Cortés (Buried)
  • [Rec] and Veronica writer-director Paco Plaza
  • Paula Ortiz, director of The Bride

The films are titled Freddy (Paco Plaza), El Doble (Rodrigo Sorogoyen), La Broma (Rodrigo Cortés), and El Asfalto (Paula Ortiz), featuring a creepy doll and various other terrors.
