Actress Maria Bakalova has signed on for the lead role in upcoming action comedy ‘My Masterpiece’, which hails from producers Sylvester Stallone and Braden Aftergood through their Balboa Productions banner. The film will be directed by Cassandra Brooksbank, which will be her feature directorial debut after years of experience in commercials and music videos. ‘My Masterpiece’ will commence production in Canada this fall.
“It follows a hitwoman hellbent on dismantling an unfair system within her industry, but she gets stuck on the second floor of an office building after she takes vengeance on a corporate overlord,” reads the synopsis. “That means she has to fight her way through fellow murderers and her past to ensure justice prevails. If all goes well, this might just be her masterpiece.”
