Lucy Dacus is putting out her third album Home Video this Friday, June 25 via Matador. Ahead of the release, she’s shared a cover of Snow Patrol’s ‘Chasing Cars’, which she performed for SiriusXMU Sessions. Check it out below.
In a recent Rolling Stone feature, Dacus talked about spending a summer at a Bible camp when she was 13 and performing ‘Chasing Cars’ at a talent show backed by five male friends. In an interview with Esquire, she also recounted a story involving a VBS preacher: “He had us all get our iPods out and delete all the songs on them that weren’t Christian music. But I fought for ‘Chasing Cars’ by Snow Patrol.”
Earlier this week, Dacus performed her single ‘Brando’ on Jimmy Kimmel Live! She previously shared the album tracks ‘Hot & Heavy’, ‘VBS’, and ‘Thumbs’.
