Wendy Stuart will be hosting TriVersity Talk! this Wednesday at 7 PM ET with featured guest Kip Kosson.
TriVersity Talk! is a weekly web series with featured guests discussing their lives, activism and pressing issues in the LGBTQ Community. With TriVersity Talk!, the goal is to laugh and learn.
TriVersity Talk! Is part of TriVersity’s ICARE Initiative. ICARE stands for Increasing Community Awareness through Relevant Education. ICARE Programs are generously funded by The Greater Pike Community.
Kip Cosson is an award-winning writer and illustrator of children’s books. He is a Texan who lives in New York’s Greenwich Village. He began his career as an artist after losing his job in 1991. He began hand-painting his artwork on tee shirts. Soon hand-painting quickly turned into silk-screening on kid’s clothing. His designs have appeared in Glamour Magazine, Child Magazine, Kids Fashion and on the cover of TV Guide.
In 2006 Kip wrote and illustrated his first children’s book, Ned Visits New York. The book recently went into 7th printing with over 18,000 copies sold. Kip thought he might be just a
one-book wonder but he was wrong. Soon he began to write and illustrate more children’s books. Several of his books have won awards.
His seventh children’s book recently arrived in June of 2025. Dogs of Woofstock has over 975 dogs throughout the pages of the book. Dogs from all around the world come to the first ever music festival for dogs. Top dog bands perform at Woofstock: Bone Baez, Grateful Dogs, Joe Cocker Spaniel to name a few. All types of dogs attend the festival including dogs in doggie wheelchairs, two and three-legged dogs. Kip hopes to make awareness for all types of dogs.
