Elisha Cuthbert Finds Horror In ‘The Cellar’ [AFM]

Elisha Cuthbert, who starred in the 2005 remake of House of Wax, is returning to the genre in The Cellar, which Epic Pictures will launch at the upcoming AFM, reports Deadline.

The Ireland-set horror movie tells the story of Keira Woods (Cuthbert), whose daughter mysteriously vanishes in the cellar of their new house in the country. Keira soon discovers there is an ancient and powerful entity controlling their home that she will have to face or risk losing her family’s souls forever.

The film also stars Resident Evil: The Final Chapter and The Night Shift‘s Eoin Macken.

The Cellar is from Irish writer-director Brendan Muldowney, whose previous film, Pilgrimage, starring Tom Holland, John Bernthal and Richard Armitage, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival.

Principal photography on the horror film is set to begin in Roscommon, Ireland in November.
