14 Year Old Rising Pop Superstar Kylie Marshall Creates Anti-Bullying Crusade: “Artists Against Bullying”

“Music is well said to be the speech of angels; in fact, nothing among the human race, allowed to man is felt to be so divine. It brings us nearer to the infinite.”….Thomas Carlyle

Kylie Marshall is the 14 year old angel who has besieged the music industry like a dazzling star dancing on the brim of a volcano in the midst of the glowing neon lighted lava engulfed by the darkness of the night while awaiting the eruption of compassion. After being bullied herself by schoolmates she had once considered friends, Kylie decided to use her talent and influence to raise awareness and compassion for those suffering from the brutality of this aggressive behavior.

Kylie approached Grammy winning music publisher and manager Tony Mercedes with her ideas and together they formulated an anti-bullying campaign called “Artists Against Bullying.”  She took it one step further and suggested the effort to the concert promoters producing the DreamFest tour starring That Girl Lay Lay (Nickelodeon superstar), which Kylie is a big part of. The promoters applauded her vision.

Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens congratulated the promotion of The Atlanta DreamFest presented by Artists Against Bullying and was quoted as saying “I hope that by utilizing the platform of Nickelodeon star That Girl Lay Lay, we will help spread the message, stop bullying, stop the violence! We must come together and assist our youth as they navigate these formative adolescent years and beyond. We want them to become productive citizens that contribute to a more prosperous society.”

Particularly in school settings, bullying is a prevalent form of youth violence. It is defined as aggressive behavior that is intentionally mean that occurs repeatedly overtime, and within the context of a power imbalance. Children need to feel safe in school. This reduces their own stress and potential aggression, which allows them to focus more on learning and become successful and happy in their lives. Bullying causes emotional distress, sometimes injury, and even suicide. Kylie’s movement is designed to raise awareness and put an end to the cruelty.

Unfortunately, along with bullying comes mental or physical suffering for those who are the victims. In University studies bullying leads to antisocial behavior which leads to adolescent suicide. Suicide in adolescence is the third leading cause of death in the United States and around the world. In response to this Kylie Marshall will be releasing “Before You Decide”, a heart wrenching song dedicated to suicide prevention.

Kylie Marshall has quickly become the industry’s most promising new talent, both as a pop recording sensation and as an actress in the new Christmas movie “Athena Saves Christmas”, starring Cuba Gooding Jr., Glen Plummer, Richard Portnow, Jarvis Redd, Mars Callahan, Robert Miano. The film is being scored by Randy Edelman. She is rapidly growing as a social media mogul and a fan favorite of all ages.
