Avedon: Glamorous
Take a look at some of the best images taken by late photographer Richard Avedon, during his monumental 60-year career. With the exhibition at Hamiltons Gallery focusing on glamour, expect to see household names like Twiggy, Ingrid Boulting and Jean Shrimpton dotted throughout Avedon’s photos.

Capturing the moment
With 4.7 million visitors every year, the Tate Modern is the most popular modern art gallery in the world – and the Capturing the Moment exhibition will undoubtedly entice even more. The exhibition has been curated to explore the dynamic between contemporary painting and photography, showcasing big artistic players like Paula Rego, David Hockney, Lisa Brica, Paulina Olowska, and Andy Warhol.

Yevonde: Life and Colour
Another infamous 60-year career worth celebrating is that of London-based Yevonde Middleton. Her work pioneering colour photography in the 1930s made waves for contemporary photographers today, and her incredible career is currently being showcased in the National Portrait Gallery.

Diva
Just one of the many great exhibitions taking place at the V&A, Diva explores the origin of the term, including how performers of all genders have made the title their own by expressing themselves on stage. Feast your eyes on over 60 iconic looks from music and pop culture, like Marilyn Monroe’s fringed dress in Some Like It Hot and Elton John’s Louis XIV-inspired, Sandy Powell-designed look for his 50th birthday.
