‘The Skeleton Dance’: One Fan Took It Upon Himself to Remaster Disney’s 1929 Short in 4K!

Originally released on the road to Halloween way back in August 1929, Disney’s 5-minute animated short The Skeleton Dance has just been given new life here in 2020!

Directed by Walt Disney and animated by Ub Iwerks, the “Silly Symphony” short has been remastered in 4K by YouTube’s Adam Maciaszek, who employed an interesting technique.

He explains, “This a remaster performed by human aided AI algorithms to upscale the resolution, clear up detail and remove the intense flicker in the original 1929 classic.”

Watch the cats fight, the bats fly, the owl hoot and the skeletons get up to all kinds of hijinks in the graveyard by revisiting The Skeleton Dance in all its upscaled 4K glory below!
