Universal Will Release Jordan Peele’s Next Horror Movie in Summer 2022!

Announced just about one year ago, Universal Pictures has inked a “five-year exclusive production partnership” with Jordan Peele and his company Monkeypaw Productions, with the Get Out and Us filmmaker directing, writing and producing two movies as part of that deal. And this week we’ve already been provided with a release date for Peele’s third movie.

The untitled movie will be released in theaters on July 22, 2022.

Peele teased in Issue #3 of Fangoria that he was planning a film that’d aim to be scarier than both Get Out and Us, which could very well be this “horror event” coming in 2022.

In the meantime, director Nia DaCosta’s Candyman is currently set for theatrical release on August 27, 2021, a film that was co-written and produced by Jordan Peele.

Peele is also producing a new take on Wes Craven’s The People Under the Stairs.
