Watch Hayley Williams Cover Massive Attack’s ‘Teardrop’

Hayley Williams offered her take on Massive Attack’s ‘Teardrop’ as part of The Ally Coalition’s 7th Annual Talent Show. Performing in what appears to be a bedroom, the Paramore frontwoman sang the 1998 track under color-changing lights with her hair wrapped in a towel. Watch it below.

The event, which was livestreamed for free on Jack Antonoff’s Twitch account, was put on to raise money for homeless LGBTQ+ youth in America. Sleater-Kinney, Brittany Howard, Lana Del Rey, Clairo, and Shamir were among the artists who appeared during the stream, which also featured short bits from comedians including Reggie Watts, Aidy Bryant, and Mike Birbiglia.

Williams issued her debut solo album Petals for Armor, which landed on our 50 Best Albums of 2020 list, back in May. She recently released her Petals for Armor: Self-Serenades EP, which features acoustic reworkings of the Petals for Armor tracks ‘Simmer’ and ‘Why We Ever’ as well as a new track called ‘Find Me Here’.
