Nightdive Demonstrates New VR Controls For ‘System Shock 2’ in Brief Video

While we wait for Nightdive’s next update on the System Shock remake, the developer dropped a little goodie on Twitter showing off VR controls for the other System Shock game they’re working on with System Shock 2 Enhanced Edition.

The video in question shows System Shock 2 being played with Valve’s Index. And while it only shows the player swinging the trusty wrench, it’ll be really cool once you’re fully immersed on the Von Braun, taking it to Shodan.

Ironically, VR controls were a Kickstarter stretch goal for the System Shock remake that just missed the mark by a few million. It’s a bummer, especially since the game itself has in-game VR sequences that beg for this sort of thing. Oh well.

As for the timeline as to when we’ll be getting this enhanced version of System Shock 2, chalk it up there with the System Shock remake. The latter is expected later this year on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
