Hi Indi, welcome to OLC! You’re a talented dancer, singer, and actor, but how did this all begin for you?
I first started dancing when I was 3 years old, my sister and I loved music, acting, and dancing. We auditioned actually for a couple of small plays in our hometown. When I was 8, my whole family and I moved to LA to pursue the arts!
You were quite determined to move to L.A. at 8 years old to pursue your dreams, what was the most daunting part of that for you?
The most daunting was probably moving to a big city from a small town. I lived on Cape Cod in Massachusetts my whole life before the age of 8 and it is completely different. Also, moving across the country and not knowing one person out here was pretty scary.
You’ve done a lot of amazing projects including Nickelodeon’s Henry Danger and even Netflix’s Dead To Me, So how were you discovered?
I guess I wasn’t technically discovered. I took acting classes and then I met with and auditioned for a bunch of different agents and then once I found the fit for me, I signed with them and that’s how it all started.
Dead To Me was such a huge show, what was your experience like working on it?
I had an amazing time in the 4 years I worked on the show. I felt that the cast and especially the dancers all became really close and had so many great memories!
For any aspiring actors out there what advice would you give them in following their dreams?
Definitely don’t listen to “haters”, a lot of people try to bring you down because they want what you have. Also, practice your craft! Putting time into practicing and getting better is so important! Acting is a lot more than just pretending and there are so many teachers who have such good advice. Listen to those who have come before you and are offering to teach you!
You’re also an incredible musician, with a catalog of huge hits including Exposed and Afterglow, so where do you find your muse or inspiration when you write songs?
I love writing music because I take all of my own life experiences and I get to turn them into art. I could not ask for a better job. I love the art of music, especially when paired with a music video or live performance because I get to combine singing, dance, and acting!
Who are some of your biggest musical influences and what do you love about their craft?
Some of my favorite artists right now are Clinton Kane, Melanie Martinez, and Lizzy Mcalpine! My all-time favorite thing about them is that they come up with stories that you can interpret to fit all of the experiences you’ve had.
Who is someone you would love to work on a song with and why?
1000% Melanie Martinez. She is amazing and I look up to her so much. I love how she combines music and theater into such a stunning art form. I recently saw her live and her show was amazing! It was actually the last show that she would be performing a lot of her older music. It was just so beautiful seeing her connect with her art and her fans.
Now you are starring in a new comedy film called ‘The Hyperions’, can you tell me a bit about it and who you play?
Yes! I play a younger version of Penelope Mitchell, plus I am a superhero! I loved working on set with Cary Elwes! I play Vista, one of a few different super hero’s that grow up and discover some shocking events about their superpowers and their leader.
So how did you prepare for your role?
I have always grown-up watching superhero movies, so I was extremely excited to play this role. I am such a Marvel fan. I have watched all the Marvel movies so many times! I think that definitely helped me!
How did the opportunity come about to be a part of this film and what was your auditioning process like?
I auditioned for the role and I knew it was probably a long shot because of the amazing cast that had already signed on. I was so excited to get the callback but I was over an hour late to my appointment because of LA traffic. I was so upset in the car and thought that there was no chance that I would get the part even though we called and explained the situation. I was so nervous to even go in and read again but the casting directors were very understanding. I felt a little better but was very shocked when I learned that I had booked the role! Never giving up is a lesson I learned that day!
Do you have any more movie roles lined up?
I do not have any more movie roles lined up, but I do start filming a project next week that I can’t disclose yet!
Do you have any more music on the horizon and is there anything you can tell us about it?
I just spent this past week in a writing camp with my producers and some very talented songwriters! I was in the studio for 6 days straight for 8 – 10 hours writing with my producers and meeting new writers! We created so many new songs that I am so excited to record!
I also hear you’re a bit of a gamer, what’s your favorite game to play?
I love playing Minecraft, Roblox, any Mario games, and Mortal Kombat!
I also read you box and kickbox? How much training have you had in that and do you still do it?
Yes, I do! I used to do it a lot but I’ve slowed down recently!
You’re also interested in philanthropic work, what are some things you’d like to get involved in and why is it important to you?
I have a deep family connection to Autism Awareness and I have been exploring different ways that I can get involved in this philanthropy.
What’s been the most memorable part of your career so far?
I loved being on the set of Henry Danger when I was younger because that was my favorite show of all time. My favorite recent memory is definitely being on set with the amazing crew and cast of Charmers! Whenever I finally hear a finished song I have been working on it’s always very memorable for me as well!
You have a huge following on Social Media, how do you find the time to grow it, be active on it, and keep it interesting?
I have kind of gotten into a habit of posting! Any time of the day when I’m able to, I try to post and reply to everyone, it also helps that I love taking pictures of everything, so that gives me a lot of content! It’s not easy to keep up with all the different social media but I definitely have one I like more than others! Right now, I am on my public Snapchat a lot interacting with people!
Before you go is there anything you’d love to say to everyone out there in OLC! Land and to all your followers?

Yes! I love you all and I am so appreciative for everything you guys have done for me, knowing that I have at least made one person smile a day makes me keep up with all this social media stuff! Follow me on Instagram and TikTok @indistar and follow my public Snapchat @indistarr to keep in touch with me. I love making new friends!
