Yellowjackets Star Ella Purnell Joins The Cast Of Amazon’s ‘Fallout’ Series

Amazon Prime Video’s ‘Fallout’ TV series has just casted ‘Yellowjackets’ star Ella Purnell in a lead role. Currently it is not known who she will be playing. ‘Fallout’ takes place after a nuclear war and the television series will feature Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner as showrunners. Robertson-Dworet has writing credits on ‘Captain Marvel’, while Wagner has executively produced on ‘Portlandia’, ‘Silicon Valley’, and ‘Baskets’.

The Fallout games were launched in 1997 on PC, with it’s popularity ballooning in 2008 after Bethesda released Fallout 3 for consoles and PC, which gave it a new direction similar to The Elder Scrolls games.

Details are currently limited on what the plot of the forthcoming series will be, but it is known like the video game series, the TV series will be set in an retro-futuristic alternate future set several decade after a nuclear war between China and the U.S. has left most of the world an irradiated wasteland.
