Psychological Survival Horror Title ‘Pneumata’ Available Now on PC, Consoles [Trailer]

Way back in 2020, Hyperstrange, released their horror arcade FPS CROSSBOW: Bloodnight onto Steam, followed by the Nintendo Switch the next year. Hyperstrange has now announced that CROSSBOW: Bloodnight will be making its way onto PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series and Xbox One on September 27.

Created by the developers of POSTAL: Brain Damaged and ELDERBORN, CROSSBOW: Bloodnight is a fast-paced shooter begins in the year 1139. The Second Council of the Lateran convened by Pope Innocent II has pronounced anathema on the use of crossbow, due to its “ungodly, demonic” power. It turns out that this wasn’t a the best idea.

Fast forward to 1666, where fire and plague ravage London, and the Ancient Horror from Beyond has invaded our reality, spawning legions of nightmarish creatures from within the darkness. As a result, the Coven of Crossbow, an ancient order of hunters sworn to guard the balance between the forces of heaven and hell (of which you are a member), has stepped up to defend humanity with its tools of the trade.

Gameplay in CROSSBOW: Bloodnight has you using your Arcane Crossbow with its various shooting modes and empowered by siphoned spirits of your prey, to mow down waves of enemies. Harkening back to the days of games like Quake III Arena, you’ll be having to utilize fast-paced movements with dashes, jumps, and bunny hops to succeed and survive. Don’t worry if you die or get stuck in a bind, as there’s an instant respawn button and fast respawn after death, so you can stay immersed in the game.
