‘The Forever Winter’ Now Available in Early Access on Steam, Epic Games Store

Fun Dog Studios’ co-op tactical shooter-meets-survival horror title The Forever Winter is now out in Early Access on Steam and the Epic Games Store. To celebrate the launch, Fun Dog Studios has tacked on a 10% discount on either storefront from now until October 8. They’ve also posted a new Q&A for fans and prospective fans to check out down below.

“We’re launching The Forever Winter in Early Access to actively involve our community in the game’s development,” reads the explanation from the team. “This approach allows us to gather valuable feedback, continuously improve gameplay, and build a dedicated player base. The theme of FW is collaboration to overcome unrelenting circumstances, and we believe strong collaboration with the community will be key to making this title iconic.”

Currently, The Forever Winter features four finished maps, a handful playable characters to choose from, and dozens of weapons. “We are looking to continue to telegraph content updates and even involve the community in upvoting updates they are most looking forward to.”

Fun Dog Studios plans to keep The Forever Winter in Early Access for about a year, but will “ultimately depend on the user response” during Early Access. The full version of the game will feature more content, which the team plans to update on a regular cadence during the Early Access phase.

Additionally, the team also revealed that there will be a demo available next month for prospective players to check out. This demo “underscores the studio’s commitment to transparency and player satisfaction, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to experience the world of The Forever Winter before committing to the full game.”
