The Weeknd Announces ‘Hurry Up Tomorrow’ Film Starring Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan

The Weeknd has officially announced the release date of his film Hurry Up Tomorrow, which will tie into his upcoming album of the same name. Starring Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan, the movie is set to arrive on May 16, 2025.

The psychological thriller, directed by Trey Edward Shults, was picked up by Lionsgate. “Abel is a visionary whose art cannot be confined by any single medium,” Adam Fogelson, chair of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, said in a statement to Deadline last month. “With Hurry Up Tomorrow, in partnership with Trey, his musical universe expands onto the big screen with a psychological thriller that will usher in a new cinematic experience for fans. We are thrilled to be bringing it to audiences worldwide.”

It was also reported that the film features a score co-produced by Abel Tesfaye and Daniel Lopatin (aka Oneohtrix Point Never). Hurry Up Tomorrow, the final installment of the album trilogy that also includes 2020’s After Hours and 2022’s Dawn FM, is slated for release on January 24.
