‘Baskin’ Director Can Evrenol is Helming a Turkish Remake of ‘The Coffee Table’

Dakota Fanning (Watchers) is next teaming up with director Bryan Bertino (The Strangers, The Dark and the Wicked) for the horror movie Vicious, but Paramount has shifted its release date yet again, per Deadline.

Vicious was initially slated for August 8, 2025 before getting moved up to February 28, 2025. Now, Bertino’s film is currently undated as the studio is looking to find a better date for the film.

Not much is known about Vicious just yet, but the plot follows “a young woman who must spend the night fighting for her existence as she slips down a disturbing rabbit hold contained inside a mysterious gift from a late-night visitor.”

Kathryn Hunter, Mary McCormack, Rachel Blanchard, and Devyn Nekoda also star.

Bryan Bertino wrote the script and will be directing the film, an Atlas Independent production. Melinda Whitaker serves as executive producer, with Richard Suckle also producing.

Here’s to hoping Vicious finds a secure 2025 date soon, because Bertino’s most recent film, The Dark and the Wicked, delivered intense atmospheric chills.
