Splatterpunk Legend Shaun Hutson Returns with the Visceral Nightmare The Weight of Eyes

The “Godfather of Gore” is back. BayView Entertainment is proud to announce the release of The Weight of Eyes, a brutal psychological descent written by the undisputed master of British Splatterpunk, Shaun Hutson (Slugs, Spawn).

Moving from the blood-soaked page to the screen, Hutson’s signature brand of unflinching extremity is brought to life by director Jason Figgis. This isn’t just a thriller; it is a clinical study in agony, pitting an architect against a couple who have weaponized their grief into a symphony of physical and psychological trauma.
Starring Bill Fellows, Cora Fenton, and Bryan Murray, The Weight of Eyes delivers the raw, transgressive energy that Hutson fans have craved for decades.

The film is now available on Digital and VOD from Bayview Entertainment.

BayView Entertainment continues to solidify its position as a leader in independent genre cinema with a robust slate for early 2026. In March, the distributor will release Anthony DiBlasi’s intense suspense thriller Missionary and the 1950s sci-fi satire Bug-Eyed Monsters Invade Earth!. The schedule also includes the award-winning surreal horror-drama Compression, the survival horror film Primate (releasing on digital in February and physical media in April), and the psychological thriller Unseen starring Jaime Hill. Furthermore, fans can now stream Demon Squad: Tooth and Claw on Prime Video or explore the historical horror Mamochka, which recently premiered at the Horror-On-Sea Film Festival.
