My first investigation at Old Baraboo Inn was in 2021.I was instantly enamored and felt a strong connection to this place. The bar was very active, and I was able to capture a lot of evidence. There was so much paranormal activity throughout the bar and brothel, the spirits yearned to tell their stories. I was lucky enough to connect with some and knew right then and there I had to come back. I’ve investigated many haunted locations and OBI is absolutely one of my favorites. So much rich history with a touch of spookiness.
OBI is historically haunted and I’ve had countless paranormal encounters there.
It never disappoints and it’s definitely worth exploring.
One of the most interesting experiences I had at OBI took place in what its known to be “The children’s room”
up at the brothel. We were having an event, and I took a few guests and another investigator up to the “children’s room”
to investigate. The energy from the room was completely off that night, very somber and I could sense something dark and malice surrounding us. I’ve investigated this room before and it was entirely different. There was cold spots throughout the room and our equipment kept picking up disembodied voices speaking in another language that we couldn’t decipher. Suddenly what seemed like a cloud of smoke or fog filled the room. It got colder and we began feeling something moving around our legs and feet, as if it was crawling around us. Then out of nowhere I felt a burning sting on my leg as if it was a bite or a pinch. I screamed and we evacuated the room immediately. Whatever that entity was, It surely didn’t want us there. The next day as I was changing my clothes I noticed a bruise on my leg where I was attacked. I took pictures and sent them to the other investigator that was with me that night.
Needless to say, we were both stunned.
It was definitely a very interesting and eerie night. One I would not soon forget.
