Charli XCX Drops Cheeky Playboy Bunny B-Side to SS26

The song is only available on her Instagram account and limited edition 7” vinyl

Charli XCX has shared yet another glimpse into the world of her upcoming album with a new B-side track, “Playboy Bunny.” The cheeky, pop-punk track is supposed to compliment her latest single “SS26.”

“The B sides, are sort of like coupled with some of the songs that are coming out like ahead of the album,” the pop star said in an Instagram video on her “b.sides” account. “The reason that they’re paired together, these two songs, are because, in ways, they’re totally opposite from each other, and that is kind of the sort of main point of them,” she said, adding, “It’s sort of a mirror… there are specifically sonic things about it that are extremely opposite to ‘SS26’ and I think that’s what made it a good B side, a good pair.”

As Charli noted, the video was filmed the day after the “SS26” video and she was “honestly v hungover lol.”

Since it’s a B-side, “Playboy Bunny” is only available on the Instagram account and a limited edition 7” vinyl. “The B sides are never gonna go on streaming,” Charli confirmed in the social media video. “Whilst making the record, I made a few songs that felt like a part of the world of the album, but I kind of knew they weren’t ever going to be on the album, and so they became the sort of B sides,” she said, explaining her new supplemental Instagram account devoted to these tracks.

Earlier this month, Charli shared her divisive lead single “Rock Music” and, just a day later, the singer unveiled its B-side “I Keep on Thinking Bout You Every Single Day and Night” on the dedicated Instagram account.
