Carving her path as an actress, community advocate, and model, Carolyn B. Herring is a vibrant force in Jacksonville, Florida. A retired City of Jacksonville employee, she has dedicated her life to service, leadership, and the transformative power of the arts. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and tireless community leader, Carolyn embodies inspiration both on and off the stage.
Born and raised in the lively city of Jacksonville, Carolyn is the youngest of nine siblings born to Willie and Catherine Branch. She thrived in the Jacksonville public school system and proudly graduated from William M. Raines Senior High School, laying a solid foundation for her future.
Carolyn’s love for performing ignited at an early age, fueled by the captivating performances of legendary entertainers like Diahann Carroll, Cicely Tyson, Esther Rolle, Sidney Poitier, and Billy Dee Williams. Her passion for acting blossomed into a career that has seen her grace screens in films such as Honeydripper Lady and Pecan Park, both streaming on Tubi. The stage has also been her canvas, with standout performances at Jacksonville’s historic Ritz Theatre in productions like I Can Do Bad All By Myself, Souper for the Soul, LaVilla Come Alive, and Parents Just Don’t Understand—a powerful anti-bullying initiative designed to empower youth.
But Carolyn isn’t just a performer; she has a flair for fashion and modeling, believing that mature women bring authenticity, confidence, and a wealth of life experience to both the entertainment and fashion industries. She’s committed to redefining beauty at every age, encouraging women everywhere to celebrate their uniqueness.

Beyond the spotlight, Carolyn has devoted decades to community advocacy. Her roles in the Parent Teacher Association—serving as President, Vice President, and Treasurer—have allowed her to work side by side with parents, educators, and school leaders to boost family engagement and promote student success. Through Jacksonville’s Full Service Schools Program, she has played a vital role in providing critical resources for children and families in need.
As a founding member of the Magnolia Gardens Assistance Community Development Corporation, Carolyn has been instrumental in organizing community resource fairs and events for over 14 years. These initiatives have connected residents with essential services in health, employment, housing, education, and support for seniors and families.
A highlight in Carolyn’s journey came in 2026 when she attended the prestigious Luxury Gala in Beverly Hills, California, hosted by the Samira Network. This event opened doors for her to connect with actors, filmmakers, producers, and industry professionals from around the globe, underscoring her commitment to expanding her artistic reach.
For Carolyn, success is defined by purpose. Whether she’s performing in front of a camera, strutting down a runway, mentoring youth, or supporting families in need, she looks at every opportunity as a chance to create a meaningful impact.
“My mission is to use my gifts, my voice, and my experiences to inspire others, serve my community, and continue growing in the purpose God has for my life,” she affirms.
