Duck Dynasty star Rebecca Robertson has had a traumatic week as her four-year-old daughter was rushed to the hospital after an infection led to hallucinations and seizure-like symptoms.
“Thank you SO much to everyone who has already sent us the sweetest messages and prayers […]. I wanted to give a little update onHolland,” Robertson wrote on her Instagram Stories. “We ended up taking her to the emergency room last night because her fever got so high that she started hallucinating and had what looked like a seizure-like episode.”
Robertson shares Holland with her husband, John Reed Loflin. The couple also share two other children, Zane (born January 2019) and Xander (born October 2024).
“It was really scary for us but thankfully she’s okay,” Robertson explained in her first update. “We’ve been treating her for a UTI but her culture just came back and we found out she has E.coli.”

She added, “We’re still waiting on the sensitivity test to come back to make sure we’re treating it with the right antibiotic. She’s been dealing with severe stomach pain and really high fevers and is still in pretty rough shape.”
The reality star, who is the eldest daughter of Willie and Korie Robertson, returned the following day to reveal Holland was “doing better” and that “her fever has been lower and her spirits are much higher.”

She also noted that Holland couldn’t take her antibiotics orally, so they’d been returning to the hospital for daily shots. “Thank you SO much for all the messages, checking on us and most of all your prayers,” Robertson added. “We’re exhausted and haven’t been able to respond to everyone, but we appreciate y’all more than you know.”
Robertson returned to Instagram on Monday night (September 14) to reveal Holland was now on the mend and even taking her medication orally.

“I don’t know what else to say. I’ve gotten HUNDREDS of messages from people praying for our girl, and today she is WELL!!!” she wrote over a photo of Holland laughing. “She woke up with just a low-grade fever, smiling, EATING, and acting so much more like herself.”
Robertson said they’d tried the capsule form of her antibiotic mixed into yogurt, as suggested by her followers, and “SHE’S TAKING IT… which means we don’t have to go back to the doctor every day.”
“She has 3 more days of antibiotics, and we’re praying that will be the end of it!” she added. “Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for every prayer, message, and person who has checked on our girl.”
