[Gamescom 2021] New Preview Trailer For ‘Death Stranding Director’s Cut’ Has Kojima Packing in The Goodies

Kojima once again delivers some cool Death Stranding news, while once again also teasing players at the same time. Kojima Productions have released a nine-minute preview trailer for Death Stranding Director’s Cut introducing its bevvy of new features.

The footage in question shows off plenty of goodies, including a new backpack attachment in the Evolved Stabilisers that allows Sam to glide from high places instead of falling, which is kind of a big deal when you’re a courier and all. Speaking of deliveries, the footage also reveals Sam inside a warehouse-type environment for “action-packed delivery missions” that feels very much like Metal Gear Solid in its construction.

Of course, much like with the first three Metal Gear Solid games, Kojima seems fit to include minigames with the Director’s Cut, including a race track and a firing range in the basement of dropoff points. These also have online leaderboards, in case you wanted to show off your skills.

Then there’s the last shot of the trailer, which has Sam accessing the ‘death stranding’, which cuts off at the last second. Don’t worry, you’ll see.

Death Stranding Director’s Cut releases on September 24, 2021 for the Playstation 5.
