Former professional wrestler, Rocky Ciarrocchi launches crowdfunding campaign for his first short film, a queer horror slasher titled The Stutterer.

AEW wrestling superstars Ace Austin and Red Velvet are set to star in The Stutterer.

The Stutterer, a queer horror trilogy told through three connected short films. The first installment—now entering production—serves as a full, blood-soaked throwback to classic 1980s slashers, embracing the retro style and tone of the genre I love most. The second film will explore the origin story of The Stutterer himself: a queer man who struggles with a stutter and who, after finally finding love and acceptance with two different partners, loses them both and unravels under the weight of grief, trauma, and rage. The third and final chapter concludes the trilogy with his downfall and death, bringing the character’s arc to a brutal close.

The character of The Stutterer is meant to bring visibility to individuals who are queer and who struggle with stuttering and speech impediments—highlighting the emotional vulnerability, social challenges, and internal battles many face daily.
