In case you didn’t get enough of Ada Wong from the Resident Evil 2 remake, modder Aydan Watkins has a little something for the PC version of the original Resident Evil. Resident Evil – Ada’s Mod tells the story of Ada Wong and her mission to infiltrate the Arklay Research Laboratory, as well as her escape. This was all referenced in John’s diary during the original game.
Originally a Patreon exclusive, Watkins has decided to make the mod available to the public. Resident Evil Ada’s Mod tweaks and adds numerous things to the base Resident Evil, including the following:
- New Start Location & Items
- Custom Cutscene
- Custom Events
- New Boss Battles and Gameplay Mechanics
- New Character & Monster Models/Textures
- New Music & Sound Effects
- New Item Icons/Models
- New Enemy & Weapon Damage Values
- Changed Monster Locations & Behaviours
- New Puzzle Solutions
- Changed Start & Ending Movies
Probably the best part of this mod is that it’s standalone, meaning that you won’t need to dig your PC copy of Resident Evil out of your closet, or go hunting for it on eBay. Just download, extract the files and off you go!
