As the next debut on the Epic Games Store (and to tide fans over until Salt and Sacrifice is ready), Ska Studios has brought over their 2016 action-RPG Salt and Sanctuary, which is free for the next 24 hours as part of the EGS Holiday Sale. Salt And Sanctuary is also available via Steam (where it’s currently enjoying a 75% discount for Steam’s Winter Sale), as well as the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
In Salt and Sanctuary, players assume the role of a shipwrecked sailor on an uncharted island. Your ship also happened to be carrying a princess, who has now gone missing. Of course, the island isn’t exactly peaceful, as monsters and various creatures populate the land, and you’ve got to fight through them to reach deep into the earth itself and rescue the princess.
The sequel, Salt and Sacrifice, is currently in development for a 2022 release on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
