Greta Gerwig has entered the prestigious league of filmmakers whose films have crossed the $1 billion mark in box office earnings, thanks to the summer smash Barbie. The movie stars Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling and has propelled Gerwig into the rankings as the second female director to break global and US Box Office Records. Director Jennifer Lee achieved this milestone for Disney’s Frozen II (2019,) co-directing alongside Chris Buck.
