See Jelly Roll Deliver Chokeslams, Perform ‘Liar’ at WWE SummerSlam

“I lived a childhood dream tonight in the craziest way I’ve ever lived it,” singer says after returning to the ring

Aspiring wrestler Jelly Roll returned to the WWE Saturday at the SummerSlam event in Cleveland, where the country star doled out some punishment with a folding chair.

The singer, a spectator for much of SummerSlam, stepped into the ring during a standoff that pitted Miz and R-Truth against Austin Theory and Grayson Waller. Jelly Roll chose align with the former, picking up a folding chair and delivering it to the backs of the latter.

To put an exclamation point on his evening, Jelly Roll then grabbed a dazed Theory by the neck, lifted him up, and sent him back down to the mat.

“Crazy- I lived a childhood dream tonight in the craziest way I’ve ever lived it. Wow. Man thank you WWE for everything. What a night,” Jelly Roll wrote on social media after the event. “Absolute madness- unreal – butter biscuit bombs baby.”

In addition to issuing chokeslams, Jelly Roll also used the WWE ring as a stage, performing his new track “Liar,” the official theme of SummerSlam and a cut from his upcoming LP, for the Cleveland audience:

SummerSlam wasn’t Jelly’s first appearance in the WWE universe — back in November 2023, he got into an altercation with Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh at a WWE Raw card in Nashville. The singer had more of a prominent role this time around, serving as the focal point of advertising for SummerSlam, including starring in a promo where he daydreamed about being the WWE champ.

Jelly Roll, who has been everywhere in 2024 (including getting slimed at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards), will next appear onstage at the Sturgis Bike Rally this week.
