Have you ever had a dream about a passed loved one and wondered was this an actual visitation or just a dream? Do passed loved ones really visit us through our dreams or is this wishful thinking? These dreams are very common and often feel incredibly vivid and real. They can bring comfort, closure or a sense of reconnection. As a psychic medium, this is one of the most frequent questions I get. I can assure you that your past loved ones can and do visit you through your dreams to either relay a message or to simply say hello. However, unfortunately this isn’t always the case, and this is where the confusion comes in. When we are awake, we have an inner dialogue. This is your subconscious voice that carries throughout the day and night. Your dreams are connected to that intuitive inner dialogue.
In R.E.M. sleep it’s that same voice talking to us, sending us messages through metaphors, symbols, colors, pictures and emotions. Dreams are conversations with self. So whatever dialogue you are having or hearing in a dream it’s really your subconscious speaking to you. You are conversing with yourself. It doesn’t matter who’s speaking in your dreams it’s still you but sometimes the dialogue comes from people we know whether they’re living or not. When you dream of someone who’s already passed away and it was solely a dream not a visitation, psychologically that person represents a part of you that is like them. Dreaming someone is dying or died as scary and concerning as that may be understandably so, it really has nothing to do with death. Death in dreams means change, endings or reaching a milestone. Perhaps you may be making some changes in your life, or you just went through some kind of change. For some of you this may mean an ending of any kind or reaching some sort of milestone in your life. Dreaming someone died or dying is a symbol of something ending or changing with that person or within the relationship you two share. We tend to have these dreams when we are grieving some kind of change or finally ending a phase in our lives.
This can suggest that you may be having a difficult time accepting a new chapter in your life. When it’s a visitation and they are trying to connect, it’s usually within the first two years shortly after death however this can occur anytime. The dream will feel different it’s almost like a lucid dream and yes feel free to ask them a question (contrary to what people think) if you can and they should respond. Unlike most dreams if it’s a visitation when you wake, you’ll tend to remember at least the majority of it unlike regular dreams that you forget within seconds of waking up.
Ultimately, whether it’s viewed psychologically or spiritually These dreams provide hope and often serve as a vital part of the healing journey after loss. They help you feel connected and find inner peace. Reminding you of the enduring love and bond you share offering comfort in your life Sarah Garcia Moon Girl, Mistress Of The Paranormal
