Philadelphia-based band Mannequin Pussy – now a three-piece comprised of vocalist, guitarist, and keyboardist Missy, bassist Colins “Bear” Regisford, and drummer Kaleen Reading – have announced a new EP. It’s called Perfect and it arrives May 21 via Epitaph. They’ve also shared the first single from the EP, ‘Control’, along with a Missy-directed video. According to a press release, Mannequin Pussy decided to book studio time and reunite in person after spending most of the year apart in 2020. “We just figured if we forced ourselves into this situation where someone could hit ‘record,’ something might come out,” Missy said in a statement. “We’d never written that way before.”
Mannequin Pussy’s last album, Patience, came out in 2019.
