Here’s How and Where to Watch Euphoria Season 2

The much-anticipated second season of HBO’s Euphoria is finally premiering at 9 p.m. on Sunday, January 9. The eight-episode season is airing on HBO, but will be available on HBO Max. To tune in, you’ll either need a cable package that includes HBO or a subscription for their streaming app to be able to play from your other devices.

The season 2 trailer opens with Rue, played by Zendaya, attending a meeting with a mysterious rolling suitcase. Having relapsed at the end of season 1 after parting ways with love interest Jules, played by Hunter Schafer, it’s not clear if Rue wants to recover or go deeper into the world she knows through drug use. It looks like it will be sucking her in either way.

There were special episodes meant to bridge to the new season, which was delayed by COVID-19 restrictions and due to Zendaya’s wildly busy schedule these days with her starring role in Spider-Man: No Way Home. In those special episodes, certain other plot points introduced could be further explored this season, like Jules’s feelings about potentially going off hormones, though she says she does not wish to detransition. But the trailer seems heavy on Rue, her dealers, and the drama of high school.

Here’s the episodes listed so far:

  • Episode 1, “Trying to Get to Heaven Before They Close the Door,” 9 p.m. EST on January
  • Episode 2, “Out of Touch,” 9 p.m. EST on January 16
  • Episode 3, “Ruminations: Big and Little Bullys,” 9 p.m. EST on January 23

The other five episodes of Euphoria season 2 have not yet had their titles announced, but should be getting released on the consecutive Sundays, 30th January, 6th, and 13th and into February 2022.
