It’s been a long time waiting but the first official trailer has dropped for Coming 2 America, featuring original stars Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall. The highly-anticipated Coming to America sequel follows Murphy’s beloved King Akeem as travels from his African nation of Zamunda to Queens, New York for another adventure.
The Coming 2 America trailer reunites longtime fans with all the hilarious characters from the first installment.
Decades after he first travelled to the United States to find a bride, Akeem is living comfortably as the heir to the throne alongside his wife Lisa (Shari Headley). However, when he discovers that he has a long-lost son, a Queens native named Lavelle (Jermaine Fowler), Akeem and his trusted confidante Semmi (Arsenio Hall) return to New York in an attempt to find the crown prince and fulfil his father’s dying wish of continuing the royal lineage.
