Escape rooms are usually all in good fun. But what happens when you go to one with not so fun paranormal activity? That’s what Zak Bagans, Aaron Goodwin, Jay Wasley and Billy Tolley look into in one spot during the Season 31 premiere of Ghost Adventures. The episode airing September 30 on Discovery Channel sees the investigators explore a vast Las Vegas warehouse that was transformed into a horror-themed escape room. Adding to the already creepy atmosphere is the fact the location holds a dark and sinister past. One containing violent ties to the mob.
As seen in the clip above shared first exclusively with TV Insider, the team’s suspicions that they were not alone in that space were further confirmed. Bagans wasn’t playing any games with the potential hostile entity asking if the presence is attacking a lady. “We don’t stand for that sh*t,” he said. Just as Bagans continued to try to get to the bottom of what their intentions were and if they were violent. The guys would hear footsteps walk on a metal grate.
Tolley reacted to the aura while holding his equipment looking for confirmation from everyone else. “It was literally walking upright behind me. You heard it, right?” The others agreed. During the replay, you could really hear the movement. Bagans asked the presence if they could appear as he explained they could hear them walking behind Tolley. Just as he said that, Tolley picked up a visual of what he described “as big as a beach ball.” Bagans missed it as he was looking at his EMF (Electromagnetic Field) detector at the time. Another replay showed a black dot traveling across his equipment screen. Tolley then asked if this presence could walk across the metal again. What happens next? We’ll have to wait to watch!
Of course, this is just the first of many adventures to come. Later this season, the team investigates an Oregon home plagued by demonic activity and tied to the land’s dark past. Other cases they tackle include a notorious Utah frontier town steeped in violent history, an abandoned Nevada mining settlement with an unscrupulous history that leaves visitors running in fear, and a sprawling California estate where spectral nuns and an oppressive presence terrorize staff. Then it’s back to Nevada for a street lined with relocated old homes whose dark energy has traveled with them.
“These investigations pushed us into some of the darkest and most challenging environments we have ever faced,” Bagans said in a release. “Grisly and violent pasts created a breeding ground for extremely negative energy that was incredibly disturbing and unpredictable. The evidence we captured and activity we encountered was far more sinister and intense than anything we had expected.”
