As a young man, Williams took tennis lesson from a man known as “Old Whiskey,” who gave him the instruction he needed to learn the game inside and out. After seeing tennis professional Virginia Ruzici play on television, Williams took a shine to the idea of his daughters, Serena and Venus, taking the game of tennis by storm.
