With movie theatres still closed in many parts of the US, horror heads have turned to streaming platforms such as Netflix to get their freight fix. Are you looking for a scary movie to watch on Netflix? Here are the five best horror movies on Netflix right now.

The Ritual (2017). The story follows a man who is traumatized by the death of a friend in a robbery. Joined by a group of friends, he takes a trip to Sweden in memory of their fallen pal, but things take a different turn.

Bird Box (2018). Bird Box is a violent, suspense-filled film starring Sandra Bullock. The disinclined mother-to-be is forced to take care of two young kids after a mysterious force decimates the population.

Unfriended (2014). Taking place entirely on a MacBook screen, a group of friends get the shock of their life when they receive a message from a dead classmate while video chatting.

1922 (2017). A provincial man manipulates his teenage son to help him kill his mother to cut her off the family fortune. Father and son struggle to live with their actions as cursed killers.

Midsommar (2019). A group of friends attend a music festival only to find themselves in the grip of a sinister cult. Unfortunately, this slow-burning horror is not available on Netflix US. However, you can still watch this gem by using a VPN and simply connecting to the VPN server location where this movie is available, such as The Netherlands.

There you go, folks. If you are looking for a scary movie on Netflix to kill an hour or two, these films should do the trick.
