‘Annihilation’ Director Alex Garland Re-Teams With A24 For New Movie Set to Star Jessie Buckley

After making a name for himself in the horror world as the writer of Danny Boyle’s 28 Days LaterAlex Garland went on to direct the genre films Ex Machina and Annihilation, most recently creating the FX/Hulu series “Devs.” Garland had recently teased that he’s working on a new horror movie, and details on what may be a different project have emerged today.

According to Deadline, Garland’s next movie will re-team him with Ex Machina distributor A24, reportedly titled Men and with Jessie Buckley and Rory Kinnear in talks to star.

“The film follows a young woman who goes on a solo vacation to the English countryside after the death of her ex-husband,” Deadline notes, though the genre is unclear. It’s entirely possible that this one isn’t a sci-fi or horror movie at all, but we’ll keep you posted as we learn more. Could it be the same horror project Garland recently alluded to? Only time will tell…
