Take A Stroll Down ‘Scenic Drive’ With Khalid On His New EP
He’s become the second most streamed artist in the world. Multiplatinum selling global superstar Khalid has unveiled his excellent new tape ‘SCENIC DRIVE’. Leaning towards more R&B influenced instrumentals, Khalid teams up with a variety of artists including Alicia Keys, 6Lack, Lucky Daye, Quin, J.I.D., Kiana Lede, Majid Jordan, Smino and Ari Lennox. ‘Scenic Drive’ is led by the first single ‘Present’, a track all about living in moment and spending time with your significant other.
Speaking on the EP and the single ‘Present’ Khalid said; “Here we go! I’m so grateful to have worked with so many amazing/talented artists on this project! Also, I’m so excited for everyone to hear this and live with it. I’m always nervous to release new music but can honestly say this is a project I’ll hold close to my heart forever. I wanna thank everyone from the producers to the features for bringing this to life!” “I’ve had the chance to listen to a lot of music and also push myself creatively while I’m recording,” says Khalid. “My Mom raised me on R&B and whether it’s the harmonies or melodies, it will always be a part of my music.”
He added “‘Present’ is just the beginning and I love that it has a dual meaning. It feels good to be more ‘present’ after such a trying year in the pandemic and it’s also a ‘present’ for my fans that have been with me every step of the way.”
