The Irrational Season 2 Episode 7 Sneak Peek: An Unwelcome Change For Marisa While Alec Gets A Fascinating New Case

One of the best things about The Irrational Season 2 is that we’ve gotten a closer look at Marisa and Kylie and the work they do together at the FBI.

Marisa will get an important storyline related to her work during The Irrational‘s midseason finale, which airs on December 3.

TV Fanatic has an exclusive sneak peek of The Irrational Season 2 Episode 7, which features a scene between Marisa and her new boss. While the woman is friendly enough, Marisa is disappointed in what she has to say.

Marisa Works Hard… Maybe Too Hard

During the exclusive sneak peek, Marisa’s new boss tells her that she’s been doing excellent work but that she’s been doing too much of it.

She’s cutting Marisa’s hours.

This is going to be very difficult for Marisa, who seems to be married to her job.

This could partially be a matter of trying to escape the pain of her boyfriend’s death on The Irrational Season 1 Episode 11. It’s easier to focus on her current job than on her pain.

However, her work also helps make the world a better place, and she loves it. She won’t want to cut her hours.

Of course, if Marisa works fewer hours, she could still unofficially help Alec with his cases, but it wouldn’t be as satisfying as being the lead agent in charge of investigations.

Plus, it will be harder to help with cases if she is not supposed to be working.

Marisa Turned Down The Supervisory Role On The Irrational

Marisa could have been the supervisor herself, but she rejected that role in favor of continuing to be an agent who is out in the field — will she regret that?

Even FBI supervisors have to answer to somebody, so she might have ended up in this situation anyway. But if she were in a more supervisory role, she wouldn’t tell herself to cut back her hours!

Of course, then she might not be able to work directly on cases and would have to deal with all sorts of unfun and non-case-related stuff, like department budgets and how closely each agent is meeting their targets, which she wouldn’t be happy about.

Still, this unwelcome news about how many hours she’s allowed to work will upset Marisa and likely leave her questioning her decisions and trying to decide what her options are.

The Irrational Season 2 Episode 7 sneak peek doesn’t include her reaction — just the news itself.

You’ll have to tune in to find out how she gets around this!

Meanwhile, Alec Has Another Fascinating Case

While the sneak peek focuses on Marisa, there’s a lot more happening during The Irrational Season 2 Episode 7.

Alec will again be working with Rose. It’s the first time they’ve worked together since he convinced her not to run away from their potential relationship out of fear that he could get hurt or killed by someone who hates her.

The case has to do with a K-Pop superfan who is killed — and the star they idolized who is the prime suspect in their murder.

Things are never what they seem on The Irrational, so you can bet that that’s not who killed the victim, but this case should offer a peek into the nature of stardom and the danger (to both parties) of idolizing and obsessing over your favorite stars.

Alec and Rose will put Rizwan, Phoebe, and Simon to work — or at least Phoebe and Rizwan.

Simon alternates between inserting himself into situations and thinking he’s not good enough, and this The Irrational Season 2 Episode 7 sneak peek doesn’t offer any clues as to which it will be this time.

I’m also curious about what experiments into human nature Alec will use to help him understand what happened.
