Jennifer Lopez, Ben Affleck, and Jennifer Garner Attend Their Kids’ School Play

On Friday night, Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez, and Jennifer Garner were all seen together for a school play in Los Angeles. Affleck and Garner were there to support their middle child, Fin. Lopez was there to see one of her twins, Emme, in the show. In photos shared by TMZ, the trio can be seen waiting in line to catch the performance, with Affleck wearing a suit, Garner clad in a black jacket and jeans, and Lopez wearing an oversized white coat and red blouse.

There was no confirmation that the adults had much interaction as a trio, but Affleck did reportedly speak briefly with Emme at the event. During his two-year marriage to Lopez, the former couple made an effort to blend their families. Lopez shares Emme and her other twin Max with her ex-husband, Marc Anthony. Affleck and Garner share two other children, Violet and Samuel.

Affleck and Garner seem to have a healthy co-parenting relationship and spent Thanksgiving together volunteering with an organization that serves food to the homeless.

In October 2024, Lopez spoke to Interview magazine about how she was feeling after her and Affleck’s breakup.

“I felt like, whoa, I got here. I’m good. I did all the work and look at where I am, and then it was like my whole fucking world exploded,” she said of how she was feeling at the beginning of the year before her marriage ended.

She acknowledged that is just part of life, saying, “There’s no arrival point. There’s only getting better and growing if you want to. It’s either growing or dying, and I don’t want to do the dying part. And yeah, there’s times when I thought I figured it out, and then life goes, ‘Let’s send you another thing and see if you fall for it. Let’s see if you really have learned that lesson.’ And I hadn’t.”

The star added, “I understand that now in a much deeper way, which doesn’t mean that I won’t make mistakes in the future, but again, when your whole house blows up, you’re standing there in the rubble going, ‘How do I not ever let that happen again?’ And then you start examining it little by little saying, ‘Okay, I did this, this was my part in it, this was what I should have seen early on, this is what I didn’t look at.’ Those things are what really are the lessons.”
