When We Were Young Cancels 2026 Fest, Promises 2027 Return

“We’ve decided to take 2026 off to give this festival the care it deserves,” organizers say of Las Vegas fest

Organizers for Las Vegas’ When We Were Young Festival announced Friday that they have canceled their 2026 fest, but plan to return next year.

The festival — which focuses on Y2K era rock with past headliners like Green Day, Blink-182, My Chemical Romance, and the Killers — has taken place at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds every October from 2022 to 2025.

However, organizers said Friday in a statement, “After an unforgettable run in Las Vegas, we’ve decided to take 2026 off to give this festival the care it deserves and to make sure what comes next feels just as special as what came before.”

Organizers did not elaborate why they decided to take a year off, but they did pledge that When We Were Young will return to Sin City next year.
