Big Thief‘s Buck Meek has previewed his upcoming album Two Saviors with a new single titled ‘Candles’. Following the previously released tracks ‘Pareidolia’ and ‘Second Sight’, the new song was co-written alongside Big Thief singer Adrianne Lenker. Listen to it below.
“I was making my escape, when the siren’s song caught me a mile up the road,” Buck said in a press statement. “My nose started bleeding by the second note, so I lit a candle to keep moving. I may have died and woke in heaven’s motel, with a telephone seashell at the bedside. It rang in waves and waves spoke, and waves heard through me.”
Two Saviors is due out next Friday, January 15 via Keeled Scales. It follows Buck Meek’s self-titled solo debut, which came out in 2018.
