Trailer: Will Smith’s Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air Dark Reboot Arrives Feb 13th On Peacock

The first trailer for the reboot of Will Smith’s 1990s series ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ has been released, giving viewers a much darker backstory for it’s star. Like the original series, the new show; titled Bel-Air, follows a street-smart teenager from Philadelphia who is sent to live with his wealthy relatives in Bel Air, Los Angeles for a chance at a better future.

While the series with Will Smith was very much a comedy, the new one is grittier than fans might expect.

Will, now played by Jabari Banks, is taken in by Uncle Phil and Aunt Vivian, who have to protect him and concoct a story about him moving to LA to pursue a better education.

The new trailer also introduces us to the new incarnations of cousins Carlton, Ashley and Hilary, as well as butler Geoffrey, played by English actor Jimmy Akingbola.
