Trailer: The Film Based On 1774 Tragic Romance Novel, ‘Young Werther’

Lionsgate has released the first trailer for Young Werther, the upcoming romantic comedy that stars Douglas Booth and Alison Pill. The film is based on the 1774 tragic romance novel The Sorrows of Young Wether by Johann Wolfgang Goethe.

“While on a simple errand to Toronto, a carefree and charming young writer named Werther stumbles across the love of his life only to discover that the young woman is engaged,” reads the film’s official synopsis. “Despite the urgings of his hypochondriac best friend, Werther turns his world upside down in a desperate, misguided and hilarious quest to win her heart.”
